See also our Privacy Policy.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Paisley (operated by Kamase Labs Inc., “Paisley,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Paisley browser, website, and advertising marketplace (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Sections A apply to everyone, Sections B to consumers who earn, and Sections C to advertisers.

A1The Service & your account

Paisley is a web browser that displays a small strip of plain-text advertisements and shares a portion of resulting ad revenue with the consumers who view them. To use most features you must create an account, be at least 18, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

A2Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use bots, automation, emulators, virtual machines, scripts, or any technique to artificially generate or inflate browser-open time, ad impressions, clicks, or earnings.
  • Create multiple or fake accounts, or share/transfer accounts, to multiply earnings.
  • Interfere with, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Services or their security.
  • Use the Services for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful purposes.

Paisley exists to reward genuine, normal browsing — we do not pay you to click, visit specific sites, or watch specific ads. Violations may result in suspension, termination, and forfeiture of unpaid earnings.

B1Consumer earnings — how you get paid

When you keep Paisley open, ads are shown and you earn a share of the ad revenue those impressions generate (currently 50% of the amount advertisers pay for impressions shown to you). This is a revenue-share reward, not wages — Paisley is not your employer, and nothing here creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship.

  • No guaranteed amount. Your earnings depend on advertiser demand, bid prices, and how long the browser is open. We do not guarantee any minimum, and we may change the revenue share or program with reasonable notice.
  • $25 payout threshold. You can cash out once your balance reaches US$25.00. Payouts are made through Stripe Connect to the account you set up.
  • Identity verification. To be paid, you must complete Stripe’s identity verification (KYC) and provide accurate payout and tax information.

B2Taxes on your earnings

Your earnings may be reportable income. Because we pay you through Stripe Connect, Stripe and/or Paisley may issue a tax form (such as a 1099) if you cross the applicable annual threshold, and may file it with the IRS and applicable states. You are solely responsible for any taxes owed on your earnings and for the accuracy of the tax information you provide to Stripe. Paisley does not provide tax advice; consult your own advisor.

B3Termination & balances

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or legal reasons. On termination, any balance below the payout threshold, or any earnings determined to result from prohibited activity, may be forfeited. Legitimately earned balances at or above the threshold will be paid subject to verification.

C1Advertiser terms — budgets & billing

Advertisers buy ad inventory by prepaying a budget through Stripe Checkout and bidding a CPM (price per thousand impressions). Your budget is drawn down as impressions are delivered, highest eligible bids served first. Ads are plain text and limited in length (currently 60 characters).

  • Refunds. Budget that has already been delivered as impressions is non-refundable. Unspent prepaid budget for a campaign that is cancelled before delivery may be refunded at our discretion, less payment processing fees. We do not guarantee any specific impression volume, placement, timing, or performance.
  • No chargeback abuse. You agree not to initiate a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute for budget legitimately delivered as impressions. Doing so is a material breach; we may suspend your account and recover the disputed amount plus any fees and costs.

C2Ad content standards & our right to review

You are responsible for your ad content. You represent and warrant that you are authorized to run the ads, own or have rights to the content, and that it is truthful, lawful, and not misleading. Ads must not be illegal, deceptive, adult/sexual, hateful, discriminatory, violent, infringing of intellectual property, or otherwise harmful.

We may review, reject, pause, or remove any ad at any time, for any reason or no reason, including to comply with law or our policies. Review does not make us responsible for your ad content. You agree to indemnify Paisley against claims arising from your ads or your breach of these Terms.

D1Disclaimers & liability

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Paisley is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us (advertisers) or were paid by us (consumers) in the prior twelve months.

D2Changes, governing law & contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be noticed and the “Last updated” date revised. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Questions? Contact legal@paisleybrowser.com.
